Overview
We're working to improve Wednesbury town centre—making it more attractive, safer, and easier to use.
So far, we've upgraded key areas like the Metro gateway and Union Street with:
- Comfortable benches for seating
- More bins to tackle litter
- New trees and plants to add greenery
- Brighter, high-quality paving for a fresh look
- Improved lighting to make the area feel safer
- Better shop signs to enhance the town’s appearance
To boost safety, we've installed new and upgraded CCTV cameras and set up a radio system that connects businesses with the police, council CCTV control, and the bus station for quick responses.
