Friar Park Millennium Centre Extension and Refurbishment Project - Information Sharing Event
Overview
Sandwell Council is inviting residents to view the proposals for the Friar Park Millennium Centre.
The project, which is being funded via the Wednesbury Levelling Up Partnership, will involve refurbishing the existing main building alongside building a new extension to the rear.
The improvements will help respond to concerns raised by residents about whether the current centre is big enough to serve the growing population in the Friar Park ward.
A weblink titled ‘Millennium centre video walkthrough of proposed changes‘ can be found at the bottom of the page under the ‘Related’ heading. The weblink will open a video walkthrough highlighting what the centre looks like now compared to what it could look like after the project is complete (via computer generated images [CGI’s] ).
For further context and clarity, please see the supporting documents that can be found at the bottom of the page, under the ‘Related’ heading.
These documents include:
- Current floorplan of the centre (in 2d format)
- Proposed floorplan (in 3d format)
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
A planning application for the extension will be submitted, shortly after the information sharing event.
