Nominate a Greenspace

Overview

Over the coming summer months, we are pleased to announce that we will be delivering a focused programme to cleanse and improve some of our smaller, lesser-known green spaces and play areas across the borough. Whilst our larger Green Flag parks are a valued asset, we recognise that these smaller local spaces are equally important to residents—often serving as accessible, everyday areas for relaxation, play, and community use.

We understand that not everyone is able to visit our larger parks regularly, which is why we are committed to enhancing these local sites to ensure they are clean, safe, and welcoming for all.

As part of this initiative, we would like to involve the community directly. Residents will have the opportunity to nominate a green space they feel would most benefit from improvement. This will help ensure that our efforts are focused on the areas that matter most to you.

This summer programme forms part of our wider Town Cleanse initiative, which will be in full swing from November onwards. By starting this work now, we aim to build momentum, target key local priorities, and ensure that improvements are already underway ahead of the larger-scale programme later in the year.
