Review of Sandwell's Voluntary and Community Sector
Overview
Trueman Change Management Ltd has been appointed by Sandwell Council to independently review the funding provided to voluntary and community sector organisations in the borough.
This review is a crucial part of the council’s wider work to align activities with the strategic outcomes outlined in the recently approved Council Plan 2024-2027 and to support the Medium-Term Financial Strategy.
Sandwell Council acknowledges the essential role that the community and voluntary sector plays in achieving the council’s goals for Sandwell. This review will assess the value for money of the current funding approach and is expected to provide recommendations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of grant administration and funding allocation, in line with the council’s strategic vision, to better serve the residents of Sandwell.
Why your views matter
Sandwell Council is planning for the future of grant administration for voluntary and community organisations. We want to hear from VCS organisations about how the sector has evolved in recent years, your experiences with the infrastructure and grant funding support services, and what the future focus should be. This feedback will help shape the future direction of grant administration and infrastructure support and provide insights on how best to support the sector further.
