Current and Future Services for Over 55s

Thank to everyone who shared their views through our survey Current and Future service for people 55 over in Aug- Sept 2025.  Your feedback has helped us understand what people aged 55+ living in Sandwell want and need from future services. 

The survey findings have helped us to shape the next stages for the service development.

How your contributions have helped us:

  • Your experiences and feedback have helped us to understand the views, needs, and priorities of people aged 55+ living in Sandwell.
  • The findings are being used to develop the service specification, ensuring that the views and experiences shared through the surveys are reflected in the future service.
  • A commissioning and tender timeline are being developed, with further information to be shared as the process progresses.
  • Market engagement with potential providers is also planned for November

This way of working ensures the views and priorities shared through the survey are reflected in the specification and continue to shape the development of the future service.

This means that people with lived experience are continuing to have a voice in shaping the service that they may use.

Overview

Whether we like to think about it or not, as we reach 55 and over we need to start to think about what support will keep us, and the people around us, mobile, active and healthy in order to live independently for as long as possible. This survey looks at some of these issues.

If you need help completing the survey, you can ask a family member or friend or contact ASC_coproduction@sandwell.gov.uk  Please get in touch by 26th September.

All information will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Personal information will be held solely for the purposes of the consultation and to analyse the responses.
